(1873-1966). Epidemiologist. B. in Akita Prefecture. Graduate of Tokyo University and latter a professor at the same institution. Nicknamed "Dr. Brown Rice" because of his healthy dietary habits. Began training under Morihei Ueshiba in the late 1920s and continued through the KOBUKAN DOJO period. Also served on the board of directors of the KOBUKAI FOUNDATION established in 1940.
